Tuning is an audio function, not a video function. The pitch of an ensemble will change depending on the temperature, how far you are into the piece or the concert, how loud or soft the passage is, etc. Your tuner will not. A tuner is a tool to learn the tendencies of your instrument, and sometimes to give a reference to the ensemble.

The best tuner is your own ear!

My tuner has a cool function where it plays a pitch for five seconds and then tunes. So, you play along and match the pitch, then you see if you were right or not. It's a great way to blend the audio and visual so that you teach yourself how to hear correctly. It's a Korg Tuner/Metronome combo, not sure of the model number. I'll check if anyone is interested.
