Both Floyd Cooley and Peter Warhaftig play PT6 tubas, professionally in orchestras (San Francisco Symphony and San Francicso Ballet Orchestra, respectively). They use their PT6s to get different sounds than they get using their 6/4 York-style horns (Nirschl or Holton).
