Does anyone have any suggestions on some mouthpieces that are good for all around playing on a 4/4 CC tuba? I'm looking for a mouthpiece that allows me to have a big dark sound that can project through a large ensemble as well as have good response in a solo. Currently I'm using a Perantucci PT-50 and I love the huge sound it allows but am dissapointed in the responsiveness especially in the upper register. I've heared good things about the Shilke Helleberg II but I would like to know some good specific things about it before making the extra investment it involves. Thanks a lot.
