Hah! Toldja that the Soviet-quality nickel plating would be bad news! If anyone still wants one of these things, get it from Frieder in raw brass. You could lacquer it or plate it stateside, but I'm wondering how long it's going to take the soviet-quality solder (betcha it's mostly lead) to rot out of the things, so you might as well leave it unfinished.
