I've heard a story that one Yorkbrunner-playing pro went to get some lessons from another Yorkbrunner-playing pro. During the visit, they traded horns to see what they were like, and guess what -- each player sounded like himself even on the other's horn.
Take the same player, with the same mouthpiece, on both horns, and do a blind listening test. That's the best way to find out.
