Does anyone know the origin of a piece called "La Cinquantaine" by Gabriel-Marie? It is used in a number of lesson books and ensemble books. i was curious what it was originally written for: piano, ballet, opera, etc. it is a pretty minor mode melody and I thought I'd like to try an arrangement of it, but i wanted to work with an authentic version of it. Any musicologists out there in tuba land that can shed some light on this piece? thanx, ken k
