To purchase a new cardboard carton, try U-Haul, Ryder or any other business that rents moving supplies. A standard "dish-pack" box is only one of the large sizes they offer, usually at reasonable prices.

I can personally verify that airlines must train their baggage handlers at major zoos, usually in the gorilla cages. Remember the luggage commercial? I have had the worst luck with TWA and the best with Delta and American. I even like American Eagle!
