I've noticed in my short career of staring at ebay and wandering through the TubeNet,
as well as reading the Tuba Source Book, that many horns used to, and continue to, come out of Elkhart, IN. What's the deal with Elkhart ? (as Seinfeld might have said ) Are these all secretly the same company ? Or are Amish children being held captive and reduced to slave labor so bad tuba players can have toys to extoll their exceesses ?
PS. Do any other American tuba manufacturers exist ? And why do we seem so prejudice against them ?
