Instrument is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Buyer pays shipping.
I'm selling because I moved to a piston-valve F tuba.
This is a Pre-Perantucci "standard bore" F tuba with graduated bore.
Very similar in design and sound to a modern PT-10.
The instrument is approximately 15 years old.
Silver plating in good condition.
The gig bag is one year old, and the case is several years old.
In excellent condition, plays easily with great intonation!
Solid low register, great German sound for brass quintets or symphonic work.
Used professionally in several orchestras, primarily in the Santa Rosa Symphony.
Lots of customizations:
- First and fourth valve slide stops.
- Third and fourth valves "turned".
- All valves vented.
- Ball and socket linkages on valves.
- Acid bath cleaned approximately one year ago.
