to me they are school tubas in the way they are made. They are not the same quality as probably the CC's are.
I have seen quite a few here in this area at middle schools, which is where i see them the most and not in high schools and there are problems w them
1. slides not lining up and raw brass versus nickel silver
2. valve problems constantly
3. acid bleeds show up extremely quickly
4. lacquer runs all over the place
5. this is not a quality issue but is one, is water build up and having to pull all the bottom slides and turn themleft two full rotations to get all the water out.
I have a Miraphone that is over 6 years old and none of these problems. these 2341 were new this year and all 8 have these problems.
