True -- the "View posts since your last visit" feature is what I use the most on other forums.
Plus, it's much easier to resurrect an old topic (usually after it's been found through a search).
Plus plus, the Off Topic area will let people post any old stuff without taking screen space away from the regular topics.
Plus plus plus, it'll be much easier to find & post to a topic that's more than two weeks old. One drawback of the old version is that there's just not a whole lot of room to keep threads on the page, especially during periods where everybody's got something to say.
