I've played both back to back. On the ones I've blown the build quality(valve smoothness), blow, resonance, and character of the King BBb was noticably less than the Conn CC. Could have been just the ones I've blown on or my state of mind that day but I felt there was a strong enough difference to justify the price difference. For that matter I actually prefered the Conn over the Getzen. FWIW, that is not the observation that I expected to have. I don't feel that there is any concrete reason why a BBb should be inferior to a CC. None of them are actually on my short list of horns I would ever consider owning for myself but all were quite good in their own right.
