If anyone has the chance to participate in this I highly suggest they do. I went to a few of these back in high school when I was a student of Mr. Shaw. I remember meeting tubists like Toby Hanks and Randy Montgomery, having converstions with them and hearing them perform a mini-recital. That really made me realize what being a tuba player is all about and that it was something I wanted to do the for rest of my life. I really enjoyed these experiences and I still look back at them today. I am planning on going this year if college stuff doesn't get in the way. I missed last year's symposium due to college commitments... $10 is very reasonable for a day of listening to and learning from some high caliber musicians. Hope to see some of you there.
