Bob Rusk always did put the 5th valve in the leadpipe in his conversions, I'm sure he would have done the same on a factory CC. I never understood why but he was sold on it.

There is one thing I'd recommend in public. Ready....

Often, the receiver for these horns has gotten out of round, for any number of reasons.

Get some plumber's tape, the white teflon stuff. Wrap some around the end of your mouthpiece shank (no need to go around more than twice) about 1/8" from the end. Re-insert it into your horn firmly, and have a go at it. If it works, it may not leave any paint on the walls.
