is wonderful stuff. Back in my callow youth, I worked in a steel mill on the continuous tin plating line. The steel sheet would go through several cleaning tanks before being plated--one of which contained several thousand gallons of very hot chromic acid. The rumor was that if you ever fell into that stuff, there would be nothing left of you to find. Talk about removing yourself from the gene pool...
