My opinion, if it is a good tuba that you like, it is a fair price for a MW32. Baltimore Brass sells new MW32 tubas, I think that they have the prices on their web site. I have played a MW32 for some time, here are a few thoughts. The MW32 can be somewhat stuffy; however, a slow relaxed and gentle airstream will open the tuba up. I have found that a medium sized mouthpiece works well (I use a Bach 18). The workmanship is excellent and the tuba is very sturdy. My opinion is that this is a fine general purpose tuba. I like my MW32 and have used it in a variety of musical ensembles. Also, the MW32 was a very popular tuba when I was an undergraduate music major (1970's). Feel free to e-mail me if you want to discuss the MW32 at greater length or have further questions.

good luck,
