According to the Alabama Symphony Orchstra ad in the March 2004 International Musician:
"Auditions for Principal Tuba will be held on June 21, 2004...Local auditions for [this position] will be held May 17, 2004. Should the position be filled at that time, national applicants will be immediately notified. "
