I have not met or heard Tommy Johnson live....but my feeling is that he, like Jacobs, would not get far in an audition. Maybe too bass trombone-like.?.?
Maybe East-Coast jobs are different, who knows. I know Pokorny is his student, but I dont' think they sound alike, do they? I could be wrong. What about Warren Deck...he sounds great in the orchestra
