It basically just means, the Middle C(treble clef C...) is the same as our middle Bb, (open) and the fingering paterns are the same from there.. you have to learn a few things, like no sharps/flats in the key is like having 2 flats on bass clef, so you kind of just learn, F on treble, is like Eb on bass and F# is Enatural.. It just takes time, Im beginning to be able to read pieces, but if i sit down and try to work it up I don't really have a problem.
Thats how i've done it, I've never really liked just transposing etc, i just try a new set of fingerings and go from there..
