as another tuba player who doubles on bass i have spent as much time finding places like this for bass as i have for tuba. i have to second the suggestion for talkbass.com.
awesome messageboard, allthough i have noticed the electric bass board gets more attention the upright board is very good. lots of information, opinions, all that good stuff. just my .02
