Mark Fabulich will be playing the Martin Ellerby "Tuba Concerto" accompanied by the New England Brass Band (of which I am music director) on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 8:00 PM at the Centre for the Arts in Natick, 14 Summer Street, Natick, Massachusetts (west of Boston) - 508-647-0097. Admission is $12 in advance, $14 at the door, ($1 off for students and seniors), $7 under 12. Handicapped accessible. Mark plays Eflat bass with the NEBB and we are delighted he'll be playing the Ellerby with the band.

The concert will also include, among other works, the NEBB's program we are preparing for the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) contest (to be held in April in Charleston, WV): "Northern Landscapes" (Peter Graham), "Images for Brass" (Stephen Bulla) and "Fortress" (William Gordon). The NEBB's former music director, William Rollins (who is head of music for the Salvation Army in New England) will also conduct two numbers, Elgar's "Nimrod" from "Enigma Variations" and Andrew Mackereth's new arrangement of "Swing Low" for bass trombone solo with band with me as soloist.

Directions and more information can be found on the New England Brass Band's website.
