Bulky goods like sousaphones are not stolen systematically, if there isn't a fence in the other end of the chain. A fence who might very likely have ordered the steal.
My maybe very convoluted point was, that more or less serious amateurs and pro's like the people writing on TubeNet should stay away from instruments, that might originate from situations like yours.
