I sympathise for your predicament. However, it would be best for you to pay the $60 and apologize for the misunderstanding. The only reason I say that is that you don't want to wind up your senior year not being able to find anyone to accompany you because she went and complained to all the other piano players that you stiffed her $60. Then next year, I would definately hire someone else.
