I use clear flexible tubing from the hardward store (about 3/4 or 1 inch ID but you can get several different sizes to find what works best. Cut it a little longer than you normally pull your slide and then slit it down the length so you can slip it over the slides. Rick Floyd showed me this idea and it works great. I actually leave the tubes on the slides all the time in my dent bag.
