Just yesterday I was trying to explain to a gullible friend of mine that he is being scammed by people who sell courses in how to make money easily and fast without doing any real work. He has fallen for several of these, and always ends up poorer by quite a bit.
I tell him that it's like giving music lessons.....as in, "I can't make a living playing my instrument, so I'll give lessons on it and teach you to play it so you can't make a living either, and will also have to teach." Except that music has redeeming qualities that make it worth it; getting rich quick in the commodities market or the real estate market has no similar redeeming quality, except for the person taking your money.

PS: Before you blast me in a reply...please re-read the sentence above that says "but music has redeeming qualities that make it worth it."
