The German term for this shape of flugelhorns is Kuhlo Horn. Its main benefit is to move the tuning facility away from the leadpipe and still keep an overall high degree of conicity.
This one is furtherly special by being in C. Of course I am a freak, when it come to the aesthetics of brass designs, but this one is very cute by almost all standards.
