I have used both Altieri and Reunion Blues bags and found the Altieri to be lighter material, which would offer less protection. Also, as Mr. Easton says, the shoulder strap is not attached well and cost me a bell-straightening fee when it detached from the bag unexpectedly. Alteiri is a class act when it comes to customer service. I liked the top loading, but only for a relatively small horn. NWD
