It's nothing sinister, In my experience, early 80's cerveny's had a much plainer CERVENY script, and the fancy diamond artwork was used in the mid to late 80's. I am away from my tuba right now, but later today I will look at my serial number and compare it to the horn for sale. If it is a late '70's horn it would be the first like that I have seen. On closer inspection of the linkage, it does look like the style of linkage they used back then, which is not good news, it was terrible.
