A live performance, perhaps? It won't need to be the whole band, but you could take a mini group representing most, or all, of the instruments. Maybe preclude the mini-band's appearance with some short video, but use better footage than just from the press box.

I participated in a swing band in junior high that was put together by our band director, who was an old Vaudeville type himself. Besides the occasional concert we did at our school, we also would do a "tour" of elementary schools whose kids came to our JH. Whether we drew the kids or not, I'll never know, but the kids in the audience did seem to enjoy watching us. I'm sure they also noticed that we were only a year or two older than they were.
