I have an audition coming up, and the solo is by choice of the auditionee. It specifies a movement from a concerto. It was kind of last minute, so I don't have any concertos ready except for my old stand-by, the Broughton (likely 1st or 2nd mvnt). I do have some transcriptions ready, but they are not concertos. I have done the Verne Reynolds Horn Etude #3 and the Telemann Fantasy for Flute in C minor (originally in A minor) with much success and was wondering what people's thoughts were about sticking one of these on a tape rather than the Broughton. Do you think this would go over well with an audition committee? Thanks for your help.
