Far from sucking, our band is pretty good, so I think that there is some interest, but pulling 24 NEW members out of a middle school program that dropped in a huge way when their former band director, who passed away in December is a hard task. There aren't many 8th-graders left in the band I'm trying to promote it to. The most new members come from the middle school that my high-school director handles, which is no surprise since he can be pretty obnoxious sometimes.
