1. I love the Penderecki. Presents something for the audience to listen to, and allows for the player to explore the various styles and moods of the piece.

2. John Williams concerto. Thought many people hate this work (which I believe is stemmed from not being able to effectively perform it, or have never heard the piece with orchestra), it is a great piece of tuneful tuba music. The great deal of many moods, and tuneful melodies that JW is known for makes it a real gem IMO. I wish that he were so inclined to write another concerto, possibly for another tuba player. I'm sure that would be a great work as well.
