My mother smoked during pregnancy and I can't understand the words either. My wife's mother smoked during pregnancy and she can.
There ought to be some Bayesian estimation gimmick in here somewhere.
But, yes, my difficulties hearing my pitch may be physical, but they are unlikely to be correctable, so I'll just have to keep working at it.
