I think you might get the somewhat of the same effect as using a HW mouthpiece, but it'd be quite a bit more difficult to find a "one size fits all" weight for the receiver.
OTOH, it'd be a fun Saturday-afternoon project to take some 1.5" round brass stock and pretty it up on a lathe to make a custom receiver.
