In brief - a great, flexible horn that adapts fairly well to all types of musical situations. Intonation quirks are acceptable (typically very small and few - the horn tneds to be very consistantly in tune across the spectrum with the exception of G,A, and Bb at the top of the staff). Tone may be a little more "CC-like" than some players may like in a high tuba, but it really sings in the upper register and responds wonderfully in the lower register. I would second the "old-shoe" sentiment I've heard; I felt like I'd been playing this horn for years by the second week. Considering that my HB2P was almost 4K more and never felt quite as comfortable, it's really reasonably priced Swiss tuba.
