The explanation is a bit long and involved and, since I don't type all that well, maybe is best left to a different medium. My advice, if you're really interested in learning the specific techniques involved, is to set up a private lesson with one of the many (though diminishing in recent years) Bill Bell students who got the information directly from Bell. Abe Torchinsky taught this stuff to me and it has worked like a charm. I imagine most of Bell's students would have heard this same information and could teach it to you. Just find one of them and go from there.

I'm not trying to be cryptic here but there is stuff that isn't printed in the music and guidelines that you need to follow that really make these studies effective. I swear by them and I've been doing them daily now for almost 25 years. Good luck!
