I do not know about the books but I know about the composer/arranger. I was told he is a trumpet player and that he has been written up in ITG for his arrangements. I have played some hymn arrangements by him for quintet and they were great. He wrote very well for the tuba and trombone as well as the rest of the quintet. Based off my limited experience with his stuff, I would order his arrangements unseen.
