I've seen ads looking for camp counselors at Blue Lake (?) music camp. I think they said it paid about $1000, plus of course room and board.
Now, if you have an engineering internship....you can expect to make some pretty decent money. And it is unlikely to be slave labor.
Then there is this law of scholarships: the less money you can make after college, the more scholarship money is available in college. And vice versa.
