Try buzzing any pitches that you crack on your mouthpiece and then put it back on the horn. Be sure to buzz the correct pitch on the mouthpiece. You might try more mouthpiece buzzing in general. All notes have different air speeds. Put very simply, slow warm air for low, fast cool air for high. A quote I read a while back in some article in the TUBA journal said, "90% of the notes we crack can be blamed on the wrong air speed behind the note." AIR is #1. It is the fuel. Have a good embouchure and like Lee Stofer said keep practicing and practicing. Archie
