When I was doing my undergrad., I purchased a Hirsbrunner HB-21 CC-Tuba. Cost was $11,425 at the time. I was lucky enough to convince a relative to cosign for a loan at a bank for me. How did I pay for it? I worked my butt off! Part-time work anyway I could get it on weekends, full-time work at a convenience store(while in school full-time!), and, I was band librarian(which also paid!). Turns out, I paid the tuba off in 3 years. Do I regret it? No. The tuba has already paid for itself. I also learned a lesson. If you work hard enough for something, it can become possible. Soon as I paid for my Hirsbrunner, I purchased an F-tuba. The cycle started all over again! This time however, the cost was half as much and only took me half the time! I know it's frustrating not to have a tuba, but trust me, it'll happen! I use to feel the same way! Hang in there!!!
