Warren Deck - Principal Tuba, NY Phil since early 80's (?)
Sam Pilafian - Tuba Professor at Arizona State, member of Summit Brass, formerly of Empire Brass Quintet. All-around player, GREAT with jazz
John Fletcher (deceased) - One of the premier tuba soloists from England, played an Eb
Chester Schmitz - Recently retired long-time principal tuba of Boston Symphony. I think he commissioned the JW or at least had it dedicated to him.

Dave Kirk - Principal Tuba, Houston Symphony
