Some possible reasons for your problem:
If your instrument is well in tune, then your intonation may lack in precision.
If you have a good intonation, then the cracked notes might be the fault of your instrument. Ever tried to hit an in-tune 1st finger C in the staff on an Amati BBb sousa? The tone will invariably crack. It will only work, if you aim a semitone lower.
Your choice of mouthpiece is an important factor. But if your air-support and your, light and elegant, tongueing techniques are not working, then you can buy as many mouthpieces you can afford. Without the situation getting better.
