Not really meaning to be a negativist, but a possible "con" would be that the regular CC instrument would have a bunch of cylindrical tubing, much like when someone sticks one of those BBb conversion main tuning slides in a Miraphone 186-CC. As some of us who've tried these know - at least on a 186 - this doesn't work out very well.
