I auditioned for grad school at MSU, and had the opportunity to take a lesson with Prof. Sinder. My undergraduate teacher did his DMA at MSU as well. My experiences with Phil Sinder have been very positive. In my opinion he is a very effective teacher, and has a great manner of teaching. He has had some very successful grads of his studio, among them Joe Skillen at LSU. I thought the school seemed to have a good atmosphere about it, and the other brass faculty and band program are top-notch as well.
