I have had similar problems with my MW also. Mine is very flat all the time. I assumed that it was my extremely large MP, and my chops are naturally a little flat. I am always all the way in on my main slide, and my 1st, 4th, and 5th slide have been shortened a good 1-2" each. that occured before I bought the horn. Yes, intonation is sometimes a bitch. But I do not know my horn well, yet.
