None of those, though some are well known. The action of the film clearly takes place in late spring/early summer. In the opening scene, people are getting off work (5PM) it's still daylight. Cary Grant heads for the Plaza for late afternoon cocktails with business associates. He's abducted, shoved in a car and driven to an estate in suburban Long Island. When he arrives, it's still daylight (daylight savings time even if they're held up in rush hour traffic). This plus the observation that people are in shirt sleaves or suit jackets clearly places the action near summer solstice. In the scene following the diplomat's murder at the UN, the scene shifts to Washington where government suits are plotting the next act in the cold war. They're looking at current newspaper. The year is unclear, but the date is Nov. 23.
