Let's see him (or any of his ilk) quit his day job at whatever university and survive on composing that sort of stuff.
IMOHO, most of these "world premiere" concerts have the audience fidgeting in their seats (or sleeping) only to give the composer a standing ovation at the conclusion, when they figure out just exactly when it occurred. Just once, I'd like to hear a shout of "Fiasco!" or some wholehearted booing from the audience. Maybe a few patrons demanding the return of the price of admission.
Sometimes I wonder if the audienece ever hears what the orchestra is playing.
