I do most of my playing on a 982Eb. I would rather have a horn with 4 front action valves. I like the sound of the horn and it does well in all situations. I would like to trade my horn in on a 983 or a 2141. The Willson is a little out of my price range I think. I have done a search of the archives on the 2141 and most of the posts are a couple of years old. Is the 2141 worth looking at? I want an Eb with a big low sound. I don't seem to have any problems playing high no matter what horn I play but I have a have a hard time getting a big low sound on some of the smaller horns. I still like belting out the low notes.
Does the Miraphone 183 have a big enough sound for larger groups? It seems kind of small to me. I have always had a soft spot for Miraphones having grown up playing on them.
So if anyone is in the market for a good 982 I may have one available as soon as I find a good replacement.
