I have used the Wick 2 with my older Besson BBb with good results. I find it similar to the standard sized Helleberg in playing characteristics. The 1 was a little too large for me. I have a 4 that I use on an old Distin Eb tuba with good results. These mouthpieces are relatively inexpensive, usually less than $70.
Of course changing to a standard sized receiver is also not too expensive and it gives you a much larger choice of mouthpieces from which to choose. I just didn't want to make that change on any of my "historic," i.e. more than 70 year old, instruments.
