One of the great things about this BBS is that it makes you rethink things.
I have never been a proponent of circular breathing because most of the time, I've heard it used in a highly unmusical manner in order to sustain beyond where the music needs to breathe (aka parlor trick).
But reponses such as Matt's and Sam's below have given me a new perspective on how it can be utilized without compromising the music... how, in fact, it can be used to enhance one's musicianship in certain circumstances. Its another tool you can keep in your musical toolbox, although I don't really seem to have a knack for circular breathing.
